Everything you need to know about learning bachata in Denver
No! About 60% of our students come without a partner. We rotate partners during class every 2-3 minutes, so everyone gets to dance with different people. This actually helps you learn faster and become a better dancer.
Bachata is a romantic Latin dance originating from the Dominican Republic. It features close partner connection, sensual hip movements, and is danced to beautiful, emotional music. It's easier to learn than salsa and perfect for beginners!
Absolutely! Everyone starts somewhere. Bachata has just 4 basic steps that repeat, making it one of the easiest partner dances to learn. Our instructors are patient and skilled at breaking down movements for complete beginners.
Most students feel comfortable with basics after 4-6 weeks of regular classes. You'll be able to social dance 2 months. To become advanced usually takes 2 to 4 years of consistent practice. But remember - dancing is about having fun at every level!
Traditional bachata focuses on footwork, turns, and playful movements with more open positions. Sensual bachata incorporates body waves, isolations, and closer connection with modern influence. We teach both styles!
